LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
The Limestone County Sheriff's Office has released information on a homicide investigation that began on Sunday.

Mike Blakely, the Limestone County Sheriff, says that Darwin Brazier, 43, of Ardmore, killed his ex-wife, her new husband, and a roommate on Sunday with a high-powered rifle at a residence on Pinedale Road in Ardmore.
Brazier is now dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He died about 50 yards from his residence on Cook Road in Madison around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday after officials from Limestone and Madison County had located him near the residence and confronted him.

Officials have also identified the three victims as Brazier's ex-wife Debra Rivera, 41, Radex Rivera, 41, and Timothy James Hayward-Boger. Deputies responded to the call at 1:44 p.m. after a caller told dispatchers that Brazier had killed his ex-wife, her husband, and a roommate. They found their bodies on the back porch of the residence.

The search for Brazier continued for several hours on Sunday before Brazier's death.

"When tragedies like this happen and you have multiple casualties, it sometimes tends to make area residents feel unsafe," Sheriff Mike Blakely said.

Court documents also show that Rivera had filed a petition for protection-from-abuse against Brazier in March, in which she claimed that he was stalking and harassing her, but that petition was denied by a Limestone County Circuit Judge.
