MAN CAUSES DISTURBANCE,
TRIES RUNNING FROM TROOPERS, GETS ARRESTED
FROM THE WINY NEWSROOM: (KILLINGLY) A Killingly man was creating a disturbance outside of his home early in the morning on Wednesday. When Troopers arrived, he led them on a chase as he fled on foot, jumped in the water, and twice tried to drive away, say State Police.
Just before 1:00 a.m. in the morning on Wednesday, Troopers were called to a Ballouville Road residence for a man creating a disturbance outside of his home.
Police say that 38 year-old Joshua Robillard was intoxicated, and was driving in circles with his lights off, and then began to bang on his house windows. He was yelling and disturbing his neighbors, then got into a struggle with one neighbor when he attempted to drive intoxicated.
When Troopers arrived, Robillard fled the scene on foot. He then jumped into the water behind his residence. A K-9 track was started, and during the track, another Trooper remained at the scene but out of view.
Robillard then went back to his vehicle in an attempt to get away. The Trooper approached the vehicle and placed him under arrest without incident.
Robillard was charged with 2nd Degree Breach of Peace, and Interfering with Police. He was held on a $2,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court, today.

KILLINGLY, CT (WFSB) -
A Killingly woman was arrested on Sunday after her children got into her gummy bears that contained CBD and THC.
Last month, state police started the investigation after two children were brought to Day Kimball Hospital.
Their grandmother brought the children to the hospital on May 10 after she thought they had possibly consumed gummy bears contain Cannabidiol (CBD) that their mother had.
The children’s mother, Jessica Cusson, 28, from Dayville, was arrested.
One of the children, a 3-year-old girl, was brought to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford because of her age. The other child, a 9-year-old boy, stayed at Day Kimball Hospital.
Cusson had brought the children to their grandmother’s house and that’s when the grandmother noticed the 3-year-old was acting differently and walking strangely.
Police said Cusson told her mother, Bonnie Shaw, that the toddler had gotten into her “gummies.”
That’s when Shaw called police and EMS.
The 9-year-old boy told police that Cusson gives him a gummy bear every day to keep in calm.
He's prescribed medication, but Cusson instead gives him a gummy.
Cusson told police the children got into the gummy bears without their knowledge.
She said they are legal gummy bears.
The toddler tested positive for THC and the 9-year-old did not test positive for THC.
Both children have been placed with a family member.
Cusson was arrested and charged with risk of injury.
She was issued a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 3.
